This trip couldn’t have been a more perfect way to celebrate 7 amazing kidless years of marriage, and the soon to be start of our new journey in life as parents. Maui was the perfect destination to reminisce on our life up to this point and to just spend hours dreaming up what our cutie twinsies will be like. Kalab and I love picturing different scenarios with our twinsies, and how he and I will be as parents. Kalab is convinced he will be the strict one, but I know that heart of his will get him into trouble, and that the babes will have him ALL wrapped around their fingers. I cannot WAIT to see him become a daddy <3 I already know I’m going to be a sucker for twin adorableness, so let’s hope they don’t learn how to manipulate me with their cuteness for a long long time.
Something about Kalab and I is that we LOVE LOVE the beach! We always day dream about picking up our life and just moving to Hawaii. We are convinced that raising a family in the slower paced beach life would be the most incredible experience, and such an amazing way to live life with your family. Who knows, maybe one day! That is why most of our trips involve sunshine and beaches, so of course, baby mooning in Hawaii was the perfect place for us! Kalab had actually never been to Hawaii before so I couldn’t wait to be there with him to experience the magic for the first time.
We stayed at The Westin Maui resort and absolutely loved it! I would definitely recommend it to anyone. The hotel is beautiful and the beach front is amazing. It is located near black rock and central to so many attractions. We definitely spent most of our time at the beach and resort pools drinking pina coladas (also one of my all time favorite things) and soaking in the sun. I have to say there is something so fun about rocking a bikini with a large baby bump 🙂 It made me feel so empowered to walk around belly out, knowing that I was harboring the most precious little miracles. Does anyone else feel that way? I just loved that. One of my other favorite things we did was rent a Jeep and took the top off. It made everywhere we went feel like a little excursion! We would blast our music, take in the views and just feel the wind in our face. It was so fun. We would ride into Lahaina almost every day for a Ululani’s shave ice. We also Jeeped it on the Road To Hana which in my opinion, is the best way to see it. To top off the trip, we ended it with a boat trip snorkeling excursion in the most scenic cove. It was magical. We can’t wait to go back, only this time, with our little bugs.
